Seeking a smart, professional construction project manager to oversee fit outs.

The Company
Our client is a NZ family owned company and leading supplier of hardware to the construction industry. Established for over 60 years and with 4 showroom branches nationally they are passionate about what they do and proud to be the industry leader in their field.
This role is based at their Head Office site in Mt Wellington

About the Role:
The person in this role provides excellent pro-active relationship management to clients and oversees the hardware sub trade process including supply, installation, after sales service and claims/invoice payment.
The position is one of 3 project managers in Auckland and is part of a cohesive and fun team who work well individually but all help each other out when required.

About You:
We’re looking for an engaging, motivated and self-reliant person requiring minimal direction and who can hit the ground running.
Ideally you’ll have sound experience in a hardware or trade sales environment especially in apartment construction or commercial fit outs
You’ll have the ability to understand technical information and be able to translate that knowledge into superior process design and execution.
In addition to having mature commercial acumen and excellent written and oral communication skills you’ll need to be able to build meaningful relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of customers from the general public to builders and to architects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
• Previous experience in Project Management/Administration
• Excellent building industry knowledge
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office computer products.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain a strong service ethic
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Strong customer and client focus
• A knowledge of hardware would be advantageous but not essential
• A NZ Driver Licence is required
