Seeking a well organised and personable project manager for residential renovations and re-builds.

Our client is a thriving, privately owned building services company providing earthquake repair, renovations, and interior finishing in the Canterbury region.

Job Profile
Reporting to the Project Team Leader, the primary objective of this role is to manage projects to ensure completion within budget and time constraints.
The person also needs to proactively maintain good relationships with existing clients throughout the region.
You will be part of a friendly and capable team but be largely self-managing.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a proven professional and:-
• Be highly motivated, focussed and positive.
• Be knowledgeable, reliable, and enthusiastic.
• Be a strong professional communicator with outstanding social skills
• Have the commercial maturity and experience to work autonomously, managing your time effectively.

The role will include: –
• Managing projects to ensure completion within budget and time constraints
• Running multiple projects
• Ensuring that all health and safety requirements are adhered to
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients alike
• Working collaboratively within a team based environment

Skills and Experience Required
• Several years’ experience in residential construction in New Zealand
• Have managed multiple housing projects at once, from start to completion
• A Trade qualification such as Carpenter or LBP would be a great advantage
• Drive and ability to motivate the team
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, strong numeracy skills and computer literacy in CRM systems, MS Word and Excel are essential.

To be eligible for this position you must currently reside in NZ and have a legal right to work permanently in this country.
Proof of full NZ Govt approved COVID vaccination is also required
