Seeking an experienced recruiter, ideally with some knowledge of HR, to provide business support for managers – 250+ Staff

Our client is a large privately owned, New Zealand heavy industrial engineering company with over 20 years’ experience in their sector.
They specialise in delivering high quality maintenance, manufacturing, and project services to a wide variety of clients throughout the North Island.

About the Role
This is an exciting new role and an opportunity to have hands on input into developing their attraction and retention strategies and initiatives.
The role requires a simple and fit for purpose approach where the successful candidate will also lead the candidate and hiring manager experience in order to continuously enhance the employment brand.
While the role is focused on attracting and retaining a diverse and skilled workforce, across middle North Island you will also be involved in providing initial HR advisory advice to line managers as well as co-ordinating activities to ensure their recruitment and on boarding processes are being well managed.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a suite of preferred external recruitment service providers.

About You
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, productive, and efficient and able to manage their time independently. This could include working some days from home provided there is a suitable private workspace available.
You must have a relaxed and down to earth demeanour and relate enthusiastically to people at all levels with respect, kindness and compassion.
Above all, you will be a self-starter, have good commercial judgement and be someone who thrives in a highly agile and fast- pace environment.

To be successful in this role you will need to have …
• Knowledge of the latest strategies, best practices, and tools for talent sourcing and selection
• Experience developing and implementing talent and retention acquisition initiatives that include both traditional and relevant digital (social media) methods.
• A high degree of proficiency and confidence with ATS & HRIS (Job Adder and/or BambooHR experience is desirable.)
• Excellent business communication skills and ability to develop quality content
• Strong focus on customer service and building long-term partnerships
• Ideally you will have experience working in predominantly blue collar environments;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• A flexible approach and a can-do attitude;
• A sense of humour!
