Seeking an experienced / part experienced warehouse person looking for a step up with ongoing support and opportunities.

Client Profile
This growing business is a major supplier of industrial automation and electrical products for industry in NZ.
They represent some of the world’s leading electrical brands.
Their two large warehouse operations are supported by an engineering design service, technical product support & general sales assistance.

The Role
They have recently taken over the warehouse next door and are looking to expand their staff.
Based at their Mount Wellington Distribution Centre, duties are varied and challenging.
Although previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred they’re happy to provide all the required training and a development pathway for successful applicants.

Daily activities include:
• Oversee receipting and processing inwards goods deliveries
• Ensure delivery dates are met
• Picking orders using handheld scanner technology
• Packing and dispatching outwards goods
• Stock taking
• Monitoring stock levels and inventory
• General housekeeping activities

The Person we’re looking for:
• Ideally someone who has worked in a small to medium sized import / distribution company
• You will need a sharp eye for detail and be a really ‘on to it’ type of person with good energy.
• A current reach or fork hoist license would be a real advantage,
• Ideally, you will also have customer service experience as customer contact is frequent.
• Also it would be an advantage if you have experience in warehouse operations and stock management
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organized and proactive with strong computer skills

Hours
The general hours are between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
